As a floor maintenance specialist, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of our facilities, including offices, resident rooms, corridors, lobbies, entrances, stairwells, and other public areas.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of facilities, including dusting, mopping, stripping, waxing, buffing, shampooing, extraction, and bonneting of hard surfaces and carpet
  • Collect and dispose of trash, recycling, and soiled linen in an outside container
  • Perform additional outside work, including policing grounds
  • Utilize protective gear and follow safety precautions when mixing and using cleaning solutions
  • Report equipment and cleaning product needs and malfunctions to supervisor in a timely manner
  • Ensure established standards, safety, and quality guidelines are met
  • Follow infection control and universal precautions policies and procedures to maintain a sanitary environment
  • Respond to the paging system in a timely and appropriate manner
Requirements
  • Demonstrate a positive attitude and ability to follow oral and written instructions
  • Perform routine, repetitive tasks daily
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Must be able to lift/carry a maximum of 50 pounds, push/pull a maximum of 50 pounds, stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods
  • Must be able to perform routine, repetitive tasks continuously
  • Must be able to work around food and cleaning products
  • Must live in the service area
