Job Type: Full-time, 12-month position

Salary: $27.23 per hour

Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Behavioral Support Classroom Assistant to join our team at the Buffalo Hearing & Speech Center. As a Behavioral Support Classroom Assistant, you will work closely with our experienced teachers and staff to provide support to preschool children with special needs in our classrooms.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the classroom team in developing and implementing individualized lesson plans and activities
  • Provide behavioral support and reinforcement to children with special needs
  • Assist with daily classroom routines and activities, including breakfast and lunch programs
  • Follow policies and procedures related to behavior management and classroom safety
  • Collaborate with teachers and staff to ensure a healthy, safe, and organized classroom environment
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Experience working with children with special needs or in a classroom setting preferred
  • Ability to lift, bend, and stand for long periods
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
