At Apple, we're revolutionizing the way people live their best lives with our innovative technology. As a software engineer on the Apple Watch Workout team, you'll be responsible for building extraordinary fitness features that empower millions of users to take charge of their health and fitness journeys.

About this role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our cross-functional team and contribute to the development of the Workout app. Your primary responsibility will be to help develop high-quality, well-tested, and performant code that enables new features in the app. You'll also be expected to architect systems that are extensible, adaptable, and stand the test of time.

Your responsibilities

  • Write high-quality, well-tested, and performant code to enable new features in the Workout app
  • Architect systems that are extensible, adaptable, and stand the test of time
  • Collaborate with Design, Product Marketing, Health, Motion, and QA teams on technical and product decisions

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience required
  • Excellent Swift coding ability
  • Deep commitment to product quality
  • Excellent communication and collaborative skills
  • Enthusiastic about working on a cross-functional team

Additional qualifications

  • An interest in building consumer applications in the Fitness space
  • Experience optimizing applications and profiling throughout the stack
  • Experience improving and expanding on existing complex projects and systems

Compensation and benefits

We offer a competitive salary range between $175,800 and $312,200, based on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Additionally, you'll receive comprehensive medical and dental coverage, retirement benefits, and access to a range of discounted products and services. Eligible employees may also participate in discretionary restricted stock unit awards and the Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
