Cupertino, California, United States Apple Full time

Experience the thrill of shaping the future with Apple's innovative Biophotonics software team. As a skilled Cloud Software Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in designing and executing cloud infrastructure for our software development efforts.

This dynamic role requires a hands-on approach, collaborating with experts from diverse backgrounds to identify requirements and implement critical features. You'll contribute to software architecture definitions, create development plans, and translate application feature requests into reusable software.

We're looking for a talented individual with a solid background in software development, preferably in an industrial setting. A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Computer Science Engineering is essential, along with experience in one of the following programming languages: C, C++, Python, Java, Go, Rust, Scala, or Swift.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience with all aspects of the software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, development, deployment, and maintenance. Familiarity with cloud platforms, particularly Apache Spark and JVM-based development in Scala or Java, is highly desirable.

A strong understanding of data storage, including trade-offs between relational, no-SQL, and high-volume scientific data storage systems, is also necessary. Additionally, proficiency in software support tools, such as the Unix command line, shell scripting, and version control software, is required.

In this exciting role, you'll work closely with the project's other software engineers and the wider engineering team to deliver cutting-edge solutions. With a competitive salary range of $143,100 - $264,200 and opportunities for career growth, you'll be part of a dynamic and innovative environment that values diversity, equity, and inclusion.
