Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Risk Management Leader to oversee risk management programs, ensure patient safety, and promote regulatory compliance within the healthcare organization. The successful candidate will have at least two years of experience in risk management and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). A Master's Degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or a related field is also highly desirable.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee risk management programs to ensure patient safety and regulatory compliance.
  • Investigate and analyze claims to identify trends and implement proactive risk reduction strategies.
  • Perform root cause analysis and develop action plans to mitigate risks.
  • Manage the Patient Safety Council and incorporate the corporate TERM program into the overall risk management program.
  • Work collaboratively with department directors and the executive team to implement risk reduction strategies.

The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to relate to clinical personnel and medical staff. They must also possess knowledge of PC applications and be familiar with hospital policies and procedures.

Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
  • Masters Degree (MSN, MHA, or related field): Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or Risk Management.
  • Risk Management Certification: Certifications such as CPHRM (Certified Professional in Healthcare Risk Management) or CPPS (Certified Professional in Patient Safety) are highly desirable.
  • Licensing: Registered Nurse (RN) license in state of Nevada if Registered Nurse.
  • Clinical Nursing Experience: Typically, a minimum of 5-10 years of nursing experience is required, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role.
  • Risk Management Experience: Previous experience in healthcare risk management, quality assurance, or patient safety (usually 3-5 years).
  • Leadership Experience: Proven leadership experience in managing teams, healthcare projects, or risk management initiatives.
  • Knowledge of Laws and Regulations: Comprehensive knowledge of healthcare laws, including HIPAA, Joint Commission standards, OSHA, and CMS regulations.
  • Patient Safety & Quality Improvement Methodologies.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to assess risk data, identify trends, and implement proactive risk reduction strategies.
  • Must be US Citizen or Authorized to Work in the United States
Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary range for this position is $100K-$130K per year, based on experience. We offer a full benefit package, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
