Key Responsibilities

The Site Safety Coordinator will oversee the implementation of a comprehensive safety program, focusing on:

  • Managing OSHA regulations and compliance initiatives.
  • Administering the workers' compensation process, including return-to-work strategies.
  • Conducting safety audits and equipment assessments to ensure adherence to safety standards.

  • Documenting workplace incidents and participating in investigations.
  • Maintaining up-to-date Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and ensuring proper labeling of hazardous materials.
  • Ensuring the availability and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Leading emergency response drills and maintaining medical facility records.
Work Environment

This position operates in a manufacturing environment, which may involve exposure to various fumes, airborne particles, and chemicals. The noise level can be high, and the role requires regular interaction across different shifts.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Associate's degree in occupational health and safety or equivalent experience.
  • Thorough understanding of health and safety laws, including OSHA regulations.
  • Experience with OSHA documentation.
  • Certification in OSHA 10 hr. or 30 hr.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screening.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification as a 1st Aid/CPR/AED trainer.
  • OSHA 100 hr. certification.
