Job Summary:

The Occupational Nurse (RN) will provide medical and first-aid treatment to employees on site, as well as monitor and maintain medical equipment and supplies. You will work closely with employers and management to ensure compliance with health and safety standards and advocate for employees' rights.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide occupational, primary, and emergency medical services to employees on site
  • Administer first aid treatment and render follow-up care as needed
  • Advise on occupational health and injury management
  • Evaluate injuries and illnesses requiring medical attention and make referrals as necessary
  • Ensure safe standards of nursing care and maintain medical equipment
  • Manage inventory and procurement of medical supplies and equipment
  • Support the project drug and alcohol testing program
  • Conduct training and certification programs for site first aid teams
  • Assist with claims management and risk assessment
Requirements:
  • Nursing license requirements
  • 5-7 years of experience in occupational health and emergency nursing
  • Minimum of two clinical practicing nursing experience, including previous experience in the construction field
  • Valid nursing license for the location assigned
  • Current certification in Basic Life Support
  • Proficiency in Microsoft computer programs
  • Experience with workers' compensation and regulations
