Job Summary: As a Surgical Technologist with United Surgical Partners International Inc (USPI), you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our surgical procedures. Under the direct supervision of the Director of Nursing, you will scrub for surgical procedures and demonstrate competence while functioning as a member of the surgical team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and maintain supplies, instruments, and equipment related to surgical procedures.
  • Support the philosophy, objectives, and goals of the Surgery Center.
  • Participate in quality improvement activities to enhance patient care and surgical outcomes.
  • Collaborate with staff, patients, and physicians to ensure effective communication and patient satisfaction.
  • Adhere to aseptic techniques and implement infection control measures to maintain a safe environment.
  • Quickly adapt to changing patient conditions and surgical procedures as needed.

Requirements:

  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • CST Certification required.
  • Completion of an appropriate surgical technician program or previous surgical technician experience of at least two years.
  • Previous experience in an ambulatory surgical center is strongly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient.
  • Understanding of aseptic techniques and their implementation.
  • Excellent team player with strong communication skills.
