Job Summary

We are seeking a Per Diem Patient Care Technician to provide direct patient care and support the licensed professional nurses responsible for a team of patients. The ideal candidate will ensure a safe environment for patients by reducing risk of harm.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement direct patient care under the supervision of the nurse, promoting patient and family centered care in a healing environment.
  • Administer or assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), perform vital signs, intake & output, fall and pressure ulcer prevention measures, urinary catheter care, phlebotomy, or point of care testing as requested.
  • Collect clinical data and information on patients, and report changes in patient status to the nurse.
  • Assist nurse with patient and family education. Document all patient care activities provided with correct medical terminology.
  • Ensure availability of supplies and equipment to meet each patient's needs.
  • Participate in activities that promote patient safety, quality and regulatory compliance. Participate in professional development.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • No Experience
  • No Supervisor Experience
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certified Nurse Assistant
