Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Computed Tomography Technologist to join our team at McLaren Health Care. As a CT Technologist, you will be responsible for producing high-quality computerized tomographic scanner radiographs of specific areas, consistent with established policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Patient Care
  • Obtain patient history, explain standard procedures, and address patient concerns to foster a sense of comfort and confidence in patients.
Equipment Operation
  • Operate and maintain all assigned imaging department equipment, including tomography scanner equipment.
Diagnostic Procedures
  • Prepare patients for diagnostic procedures by explaining the process and positioning patients to correctly capture the images requested by a physician.
Medication Administration
  • Properly identify, prepare, and/or administer medications that are within the technologist's scope of practice as prescribed by a licensed independent practitioner.
Quality Assurance
  • Complete quality assurance processes and practice radiation safety to reduce exposure to patients, staff, and self.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Certified as CT Technologist
  • If not CT Certified, cross-training from another ARRT modality to become CT Certified within twelve (12) months
  • Graduation from an AMA-approved school of radiology technology
  • Certified in general radiologic technology by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT)
  • Current BLS certification
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate degree in radiology
  • Certified as CT Technologist
