Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform CT examinations on patients, ensuring the use of adult/pediatric protocols and maintaining patient safety.
  • Communicate effectively with patients and colleagues, providing compassionate and professional care.
  • Review radiology imaging requisitions, identifying discrepancies and calling appropriate personnel for review.
  • Prepare patients for examinations, answering questions and referring to other personnel as needed.
  • Follow HIPAA standards to maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.
  • Apply knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and disease processes to obtain high-quality images.
  • Use proper shielding and radiation protection for patients, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Document patient information and examination results accurately and efficiently.
  • Participate in the training of new personnel and maintain equipment in good working order.
  • Coordinate work to achieve maximum productivity and efficiency during assigned shifts.
Requirements:
  • Satisfactory completion of a formal Radiologic Technology program in an AMA-approved school.
  • ARRT and advanced CT registration with a valid Massachusetts state license and evidence of continuing education.
  • Siemens experience preferred.
