Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Program Analyst to join our team at AMS Group, Inc. as a key member of our Integrated Security Solutions division. The successful candidate will provide complex master schedule, cost management, and program controls to our assigned projects, working closely with Program Managers, engineers, and cross-functional teams to achieve success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Master Scheduling and Planning
    • Develop and maintain program Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) using Microsoft Project, integrating into earned value cost tools to ensure costs and timing align with project requirements and objectives.
    • Develop and support MIL-STD 881 compliant Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), providing critical path analysis.
    • Generate monthly Schedule Performance Dataset (SPD) and Integrated Program Management Data Analysis Report Contract Data Requirements List (IPMDAR CDRL) in accordance with customer due dates.
    • Perform Schedule Risk Analysis (SRA) and support implementation and communication of mitigation plans.
    • Implement scheduling best practices.
    • Maintain monthly business rhythm and cadence to monitor program performance and provide status updates to stakeholders.
  • Financial Analysis and Earned Value Management System (EVMS)
    • Perform detailed financial analysis to monitor program performance, identify cost and schedule variances, track program funding, and prepare weekly and monthly reports and recommend corrective actions.
    • Support the development and implementation of EVMS processes, procedures, methodologies, and standard industry practices, managing fully surveilled EVMS programs.
    • Support preparation and delivery of forward-looking financial (Bookings, Sales, Profit, and Cash) and program performance reports to management, highlighting key metrics, trends, risks, and opportunities, areas of concern, and potential challenges.
  • Controls and Compliance Risk Management
    • Establish and maintain internal cost and schedule controls and procedures to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance within Earned Value Management System.
    • Ensure compliance with industry standard financial regulations and policies.
    • Identify and assess schedule and cost program risks and ensure mitigation plans are captured within the IMS, supporting development of mitigation strategies and monitoring progress to minimize impacts on program outcomes.
  • Process Improvement
    • Continually evaluate existing processes and propose improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and overall program and business performance.
  • Collaboration and Communication
    • Communicate and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including program managers, program finance/controls, multi-disciplined engineering, contracts/subcontract managers, government compliance, and procurement managers to gather data and insights for schedule and financial analysis reporting.
