Refugee Case Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Refugee Case Manager to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will provide culturally sensitive social services to clients referred to the program, ensuring their successful integration into their new community.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide case management services to refugee clients, including maintaining up-to-date information in client files and ensuring delivery of services as described in partner organizations' handbooks and contractual agreements.
- Collaborate effectively with internal staff to coordinate services for clients enrolled in our programs.
- Develop and maintain understanding of current refugee issues through personal reading, attendance at related seminars, and participation in related task forces and committees.
- Document services in accordance with guidelines and procedures laid out by the Office of Global Michigan (OGM) for refugee case management and other funding sources.
- Keep abreast of community resources and refer clients for support as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in Behavioral Sciences, Human Services, or a Social Services field from an accredited college.
- Child welfare and/or case management experience is strongly preferred.
- Bi-lingual: English/Ukrainian preferred.
- Prior work experience with serving refugees is preferred.
- Sensitivity in communicating and developing cross-cultural relationships.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and exercise a high level of confidentiality.
- Commitment to goals of refugee resettlement, co-sponsorship, and the program mission.
