Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and assessments for patients with mental health conditions
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address patient needs
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care and coordination
  • Participate in performance improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and quality of care
  • Supervise and teach psychiatric residents and other trainees as needed
Requirements
  • Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) degree from an accredited medical school
  • Completion of a psychiatry residency program approved by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME)
  • Current, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia
  • Board certification in psychiatry or eligibility for board certification
Preferred Qualifications
  • Board certification in a subspecialty of psychiatry (e.g., addiction psychiatry, child and adolescent psychiatry)
  • Experience working with veterans or in a similar healthcare setting
  • Strong leadership and teaching skills
