Position Overview:
The Barback plays a crucial role in supporting bartenders to deliver outstanding service while upholding the highest standards of cleanliness and organization. This position involves assisting with various tasks to ensure the bar operates smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a positive and friendly demeanor towards guests, management, and fellow staff members.
  • Assist with the setup and breakdown of the bar, including restocking supplies such as garnishes and glassware.
  • Ensure the bar is adequately stocked with ice, beverages, and other essentials.
  • Regularly check and maintain bar equipment to ensure proper functionality.
  • Uphold cleanliness standards by cleaning surfaces, managing waste, and maintaining overall bar hygiene.
  • Familiarize yourself with the drink menu and cocktail recipes.
  • Support bartenders during busy periods by taking orders and preparing drinks.
  • Engage with customers, addressing inquiries and resolving any issues that may arise.
  • Assist in inventory management and report supply levels for reordering.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures to ensure safe and efficient operations.

Qualifications:

  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on positive interactions.
  • Ability to listen and respond to guest and employee concerns.
  • Strong multitasking skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Willingness to participate in training and meetings as required.
  • Consistent attendance and adherence to grooming standards.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights and weekends.
  • Physical ability to lift and move heavy items as needed.
  • Knowledge of beverages, including beers, wines, and cocktails.
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • High School diploma or equivalent experience in hospitality preferred.
