Job Summary

Responsibilities
  • Inspect assigned areas to identify needs and secure necessary materials for repairs

  • Perform skilled work in repair, maintenance, equipment installation, and construction
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 4 years of general maintenance experience, including carpentry, painting, electrical, and mechanical repairs
  • Solid mechanical abilities
  • Current, valid Driver's License
  • Ability to read and utilize blueprints
  • Solid problem-solving skills and ability to use sound judgment
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Basic personal computer skills
  • Basic math skills
  • Ability to follow directions
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications
  • Licensed in one of the following skilled trade areas for the State of Ohio: Electrical, Plumber, HVAC, Mechanic, Carpenter
  • Documented completion of a formal apprenticeship program as an Electrician, Mechanic, HVAC Technician, Plumber, Carpenter, or other skilled trade
  • Possess a Medical Gas Maintenance Personnel 6040 certificate from The American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE)
  • Prior Healthcare industry experience
Physical Requirements
  • May sit, stand, stoop, bend, and ambulate intermittently during the day
  • May need to sit or stand for extended periods
  • See in the normal visual range with or without correction
  • Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction
  • Ability to climb intermittently during the day
  • Ability to push/pull pounds
  • Ability to lift 10-40 pounds
  • Requires some exposure to communicable diseases or body fluids
  • Requires some exposure to chemicals and cleaning products
