Surgical Pathology Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled Surgical Pathology Coordinator to join our team at Mass General Brigham. As a key member of our pathology department, you will be responsible for registering and insurance verifying consult cases, accessioning specimens, and serving as the primary liaison between clients and our pathology service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Registration and insurance verification of consult cases
- Accessioning of specimens according to approved protocols
- Documentation of materials received for all consult cases
- Communication with clients and internal stakeholders
- Assistance with training of new staff members
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate degree preferred
- Knowledge of intermediate medical terminology
- Experience in a healthcare or laboratory setting preferred
- PowerPath and EPIC knowledge preferred, but not required
