Job Summary

As a Medical Technologist Lead at the Veterans Affairs, Veterans Health Administration, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and accuracy of laboratory testing and results. You will be responsible for supervising and guiding a team of medical technologists, ensuring that they are properly trained and equipped to perform their duties. You will also be responsible for maintaining and improving laboratory processes and procedures, and for ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise and guide a team of medical technologists in the performance of laboratory testing and procedures.
  • Maintain and improve laboratory processes and procedures to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and standards.
  • Develop and implement quality control and quality assurance programs.
  • Collaborate with other departments and teams to ensure seamless laboratory operations.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Medical Technology or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in medical laboratory technology, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • Certification as a Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) from a recognized accrediting agency.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
