Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service and Support: Provide exceptional customer service to patients, responding to their needs and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Scheduling and Coordination: Schedule office visits, ancillary and diagnostic services, surgery, and hospital procedures, ensuring that all necessary authorizations are obtained.
  • Documentation and Follow-up: Complete all necessary documentation and follow-up tasks to ensure that patient care is coordinated efficiently and effectively.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Interact with other staff members, providers, and outside sources to ensure that all patient needs are met and scheduled accordingly.
  • Information Provision: Provide accurate and detailed information to patients regarding follow-up visits and procedures scheduled.
  • Billing and Revenue Cycle: Complete charge entry to ensure billing is achieved within 48 hours, and ensure that all appropriate procedures are documented and billed for.
  • Team Collaboration: Maintain tight connections with providers, team leaders, and other staff members, communicating effectively to ensure all services are provided and accounted for.
  • Problem Solving and Improvement: Actively participate in problem-solving and identifying improvement opportunities to enhance patient care and services.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: Medical office experience required, medical billing experience preferred.
