Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver specialized instruction in braille literacy, orientation and mobility skills, and the use of assistive technology.
  • Work collaboratively with educators, support staff, and families to develop personalized education plans.
  • Conduct evaluations to assess students' needs and track their progress.
  • Provide direct instruction across various educational environments.
  • Engage in collaborative meetings to establish and review student goals.
  • Facilitate training sessions for staff and families on best practices for supporting students with visual impairments.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Education or a related discipline.
  • Valid teaching certification with a specialization in Visual Impairments.
  • Preferred experience as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired.
