Your Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Acting as a technical authority for power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and telecommunication systems within a multi-disciplinary project team, producing electrical design and construction documentation for various facility types.
  • Leading electrical engineering efforts and providing technical design services as part of a collaborative project team.
  • Conducting thorough technical evaluations of electrical systems and equipment, preparing design calculations and assessments.
  • Ensuring that electrical engineering design tasks are completed within established budgets and timelines.
  • Facilitating communication and coordination of technical evaluations and designs, including the preparation of reports and correspondence with other professionals and project managers.
  • Staying informed about local, state, and federal design standards and regulations.
  • Taking initiative to develop new business opportunities and client relationships related to electrical engineering services.

Qualifications Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in GA, PA, or NC, or the ability to obtain it quickly through reciprocity.
  • A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong technical skills with a keen interest in technology and ongoing professional development.
  • Excellent communication skills and a proactive attitude.

Preferred Attributes:

  • An interdisciplinary approach to engineering, with an appreciation for integrating various disciplines.
  • Experience with financial metrics and data analytics to inform decision-making.
  • Background in electrical power engineering and proficiency in CAD or Revit.
  • Familiarity with MEP work for buildings and knowledge of NEC, NESC, and IEEE standards, with a willingness to expand your expertise.
  • A creative mindset, capable of generating innovative ideas and presenting them effectively to teams and clients.
