About the Role

This part-time position offers a standard schedule of 24 hours per week, with a shift that includes Saturday-Monday. You will work with a diverse patient population, providing individualized care and support.


Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement recreation activities, functional leisure skills, and leisure education programs tailored to patients' needs and interests.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients' needs, collaborating with healthcare professionals, patients' families, and patients to create effective treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with the treatment team to plan and evaluate therapy programs, ensuring seamless care coordination.
  • Participate in discharge planning, developing and implementing activity care plans and patient assessments to ensure a smooth transition to the next level of care.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Recreational Therapy is required.
  • Experience in an acute care, extended care, rehabilitation, mental health, or outpatient setting is preferred.
  • Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) certification is highly valued.
