About the Role

Pye Barker Fire & Safety LLC is seeking a highly skilled Fire Sprinkler Inspector to join our team. As a Fire Sprinkler Inspector, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety of people and property by conducting thorough inspections of fire sprinkler systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct inspections of fire sprinkler systems to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Test and verify the functionality of fire sprinkler control panels, devices, and systems.
  • Record and document inspection results, including generating reports and certificates.
  • Collaborate with the Lead Inspector and Inspection Manager to collect data and generate necessary paperwork.
  • Participate in monthly team meetings to discuss ongoing projects and share best practices.
Requirements
  • College degree preferred, but a high school diploma or equivalent with relevant experience is acceptable.
  • Knowledge of NFPA standards for fire protection systems and ability to stay current with code requirements and industry changes.
  • NICET certifications a plus.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with a customer service-oriented approach.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and demonstrate a strong work ethic.
  • Proficiency in using test equipment, including sensitivity test equipment, multi-meters, battery analyzers, sound level meters, and communicating devices.
  • Strong networking PC skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Palm unit operating systems.
  • Reliable transportation to and from the office or job site.
