We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Purchasing Specialist to join our team at the MacDermid Alpha New Jersey facility.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sourcing and procurement, with the ability to execute sourcing strategies effectively across multiple sites and departments.

Manage purchase goods and services per sourcing strategy, ensuring cost, quality, and delivery targets.
Identify savings opportunities and collaborate on projects with supervisors and sourcing managers.
Manage local suppliers and optimize costs.
Process purchase orders and work with Accounts Payable to address invoice issues.
Interface with Operations, Quality, R&D, and Product Marketing.
Ensure compliance with company policies and participate in supplier audits.

Inventory Control:
~ Maintain inventory records for raw materials.

Administrative Support:
~ Provide backup support as needed, including shipping assistance.

Bachelor's degree preferred
Proficiency in relevant software and tools such as JDE, SAP, Esker, PowerBI and Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, etc.)

Experience with SAP and/or JDE a plus.
