JOB SUMMARY

The Senior Engineer will play a crucial role in enhancing the operational efficiency of Gas Turbines and LNG Compressors. The position involves thorough analysis of engine supervisory and thermal performance data to identify root causes and implement corrective measures for various operational challenges.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct in-depth analysis of performance data from F-Class Gas Turbines, with a focus on identifying and addressing operational issues.
  • Utilize Process Information (PI) tools for effective monitoring and graphical representation of Gas Turbine and LNG Compressor stations.
  • Develop comprehensive databases of known field issues and their indicators to aid in troubleshooting efforts.
  • Collaborate with a team of aerothermal and performance engineers to establish best practices and architectural philosophies for performance monitoring and diagnostics.
  • Communicate corrective actions clearly to stakeholders through various channels.
  • Enhance automated tools and templates to streamline recurring tasks, thereby improving team efficiency.
  • Travel may be required for both domestic and international assignments.
  • Respond to operational needs during both regular and off-hours.
  • Participate in overtime and rotational shifts as necessary.
  • Ensure all quality documentation is accurate, complete, and timely.
  • Experience with LNG compressors is advantageous.
  • Preference for candidates with GE7EA experience relevant to LNG compressor stations, emphasizing hands-on maintenance and troubleshooting expertise.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education & Training

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, with relevant operational or diagnostic experience considered in lieu of formal education.
  • Plant Engineers with Gas Turbine troubleshooting experience are also encouraged to apply.
  • Completion of EHS assigned regulatory training is mandatory.
  • Familiarity with Gas Turbine instrumentation and controls is essential.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in start-up and commissioning roles involving F/G/H/J class combined cycle industrial gas turbines.
  • Strong understanding of Gas Turbine architecture, design, and support systems.
  • Experience working collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary engineering team.
  • Proficiency with various GT control systems and data analysis tools.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Cross-functional knowledge to facilitate coordination among diverse engineering disciplines.
  • Multilingual candidates are a plus.
