Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Petroleum Service Technician to join our team at Tait & Associates, Inc. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the environmental compliance of our clients' fuel storage systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on underground storage tanks (USTs) and aboveground storage tanks (ASTs) to ensure compliance with state and local regulations.
  • Conduct testing and certification of UST and AST systems to ensure they meet regulatory requirements.
  • Diagnose and repair problems with UST and AST systems, including vapor recovery systems.
  • Drive company vehicles to client job sites, with occasional overnight travel required.
  • Enter test data online and complete projects within specified timeframes to maintain compliance.
  • Perform all work safely according to company and client job safety requirements.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 1 year of industry experience.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to drive up to 1,000 miles per week.
  • Self-direction and ability to work independently.
  • Good organizational and scheduling skills.
  • Ability to review and interpret reports and documents.
  • Ability to work effectively and professionally with clients.
  • Knowledge of UST systems and current regulations regarding their proper operation.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Veeder Root Installer and Technician Certification.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Physical Requirements
  • Climbing ladders; carrying and using hand tools and parts; lifting sump lids with assistance.
  • Walking, driving, climbing, kneeling, standing to perform tasks at each site.
  • Ability to speak clearly and professionally to communicate with team and clients.
  • Ability to drive a vehicle to job sites and ability to drive extensive distances, up to 1,000 miles per week.
  • Ability to walk around job sites that may be dirt, cement, asphalt, uneven concrete, or other.
