Position Overview

As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in the installation and upkeep of electronic security systems. Your responsibilities will encompass preventive maintenance, inspections, evaluations, and inventory management.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Lead teams on moderately complex installation projects.
  • Conduct and document daily safety briefings.
  • Install head-end equipment at both local and global levels according to design specifications.
  • Program head-end equipment for Access Control, Intrusion Detection, and CCTV systems.
  • Troubleshoot and isolate system and hardware issues at both local and global levels.
  • Provide on-site software commissioning and testing.
  • Perform thorough inspections, evaluations, and inventory management.

Candidate Qualifications:

  • Selected applicants will undergo a government security investigation and must meet eligibility criteria for access to classified information; ability to obtain a Public Trust is mandatory.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license is required.
  • This role may necessitate the use of a company vehicle; candidates must have an acceptable driving record.
  • Education: High School diploma or GED; Military Electronics Training (minimum 720 classroom hours); graduation from an accredited Electronics Technician program; or completion of an Electrical Apprenticeship program, or an additional three (3) years of relevant electronics installation and/or maintenance experience.
  • Experience: 8-10 years in electronics installation and/or maintenance across various systems, with at least 3 years focused on electronic security systems.
  • Strong oral, written, and presentation skills.
  • Proven experience working with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills to meet deadlines and quality standards.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint is advantageous.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Vendor certifications in multiple IDS, ACS, and CCTV systems.
  • Familiarity with Identiv/Hirsch Velocity, Bosch Radionics, Bosch CCTV, Bosch BVMS, and Airphone Intercom Systems.
  • Experience with Lenel, Genetec, Commend, and Cisco Switch configuration.
  • SEC+ certification.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift at least 100 pounds and carry 60 pounds for extended periods.
  • Capable of relocating a 12-foot stepladder without assistance.
  • Comfortable working at heights up to 60 feet and maintaining balance on various types of ladders.
  • Engage in physical activities such as walking, climbing, lifting, squatting, crawling, kneeling, pushing, pulling, and reaching overhead regularly.
  • Good vision (correctable) and the ability to see in color, along with effective communication skills in English.
  • Ability to identify potential issues and apply general rules to specific problems.
  • Ability to synthesize information to form general conclusions.
  • Attention to detail and strong listening skills.
