Job Summary

AdeIphi Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team in Great Barrington, MA. As a Speech-Language Pathologist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality, compassionate care to patients with communication and swallowing disorders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and Support: Supervise CFYs, temporary licensees, students, and support personnel as per state licensure and professional standards.
  • Adhere to Departmental Standards: Adhere to department and patient treatment schedules, clinical and billing documentation, and work-related meetings.
  • Patient Care Conferences: Attend and contribute to patient care conferences and related meetings.
  • Referral and Consultation: Refer patients to other disciplines or agencies as needed for comprehensive care and consult with the rehabilitation team and physician to select appropriate therapeutic regimens for each patient.
  • Program Development: Adapt programs and care plans to individual patient needs and ensure a safe environment and eliminate fire and safety hazards.
  • Equipment Management: Order necessary supplies and equipment, maintain, clean, and report the need for equipment repairs.
  • Patient Service: Prioritize patient service, providing high-quality, compassionate care that recognizes individual needs and rights.
  • Screening and Evaluation: Screen, examine, and evaluate patients to establish diagnoses, identify impairments, and develop treatment plans.
  • Treatment Implementation: Implement speech-language pathology treatments and document services in areas such as cognitive-communication, speech intelligibility, oral motor skills, swallowing disorders, perceptual abilities, orientation, memory, pragmatics, psychosocial expression, functional communication, and case management.
  • Adaptive Communication Devices: Coordinate and instruct patients in using adaptive communication devices.
  • Hearing Deficits: Identify hearing deficits and refer for further assessment and rehabilitation.
  • Therapeutic Skills: Select activities suited to patients' physical and mental capacities, intelligence, and interests, instruct patients in therapeutic skills and techniques, and evaluate their progress, attitudes, and behavior.
  • Progress Monitoring: Perform routine re-examinations to modify or progress treatment plans as needed.
  • Home and Community Care: Coordinate home and community care with the interdisciplinary team and referring physician.
  • Other Duties: Perform other duties assigned by Management.
