Role Responsibilities

As a Senior Travel Advisor, you will oversee a team of Travel Advisors and must excel in client relations and the execution of various upscale travel arrangements. This includes crafting custom and intricately detailed itineraries while managing all systems and bookings. The ideal candidate possesses extensive industry experience—preferably within the luxury sector—can lead a team effectively, and is both meticulous and efficient in their work. Please note that this is not an entry-level position; substantial prior experience as a travel advisor is essential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of passionate luxury travel advisors, serving an exceptional clientele of high-end travelers.
  • Maintain strong, personalized relationships with all members to effectively plan their travels according to their unique tastes and preferences.
  • Guide your team's research on destinations, activities, dining options, and more.
  • Manage the execution of all trip booking details, including accommodations, transfers, reservations, and additional services.
  • Collaborate directly with hotels, villa suppliers, destination management companies, and local experts globally.
  • Develop detailed and comprehensive travel itineraries tailored to each client's needs.
  • Utilize your passion for travel to provide targeted travel insights and advice specific to each member.
  • Proactively seek creative solutions and alternatives when necessary.
  • Contribute to discussions and projects regarding Marchay's growth and development as a company.
Qualifications
  • Located in North America and available to work Eastern Time Zone hours.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in planning luxury travel, either as an independent contractor or as part of a company.
  • Ability to manage 50-60 trips simultaneously.
  • Experience in handling large volumes of data and maintaining organization using a CRM system (e.g., itineraries, client feedback, and information).
  • Possess excellent taste and product knowledge, understanding the nuances of luxury accommodations.
  • Proficient in working with high-end hotels, first and business class air travel, destination management companies, villa suppliers, and guides.
  • Deep understanding of the lifestyle and travel trends of high-end consumers.
  • Proven ability to deliver an exceptional client experience with poise and professionalism.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask effectively and demonstrate outstanding time management skills.
  • Familiarity with Sabre GDS, Salesforce CRM, and experience in team leadership is a plus.
