Fabrication Foreman

We are seeking a skilled Fabrication Foreman to join our team at JGM. As a Fabrication Foreman, you will be responsible for managing overall production, quality, safety, and employee relations.

• Manage overall production, quality, safety, & employee relations.
• Lead repair and maintenance keeping the plant up and operational.
• Assist in staffing and interviewing new employees.
• Provide leadership to staff through effective communication, coaching, training, and development AND discipline when necessary.
• Enforce all safety regulations and company policies. Interact withthe Health & Safety Manager as necessary.
• Execute all activities related to shop fabrication as directed by the Plant Manager.
• Ensure production plans are in place, and closely monitor job progress.
• Review shop detail drawings for opportunities to increase productivity.
• Enforce shop housekeeping rules and maintain organization of work areas within his or her assigned fabrication bay.
• Maintain levels of shop consumables & PPE.
• Implementation of continuous improvement opportunities.
• Equipment operations as necessary.

• Minimum of five (5)years of managerial/supervisory experience in a fabrication shop.
• Five (5) to Ten (10) years of experience in fabrication overseeing between 5 to 15 fabricators, operators, helpers, welders, and/ apprentices.
• Demonstrated knowledge of structural fabrication.
• Ability to stimulate and motivate your crew while being aware of and responsive to their needs and concerns.
• Desire to learn and ability to teach and develop others.
• Close and friendly follow-up style to ensure high quality standards and the development of the team.
• Ability to closely focus on guidelines, structure, and established policies.
• Must possess a how can I help you? attitude with a willingness to roll up your sleeves when necessary to help.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (MS Word, Excel & Outlook).
• OSHA 10 a requirement.
• Valid Drivers License.
• Must complete OSHA 30 upon hiring.

• Requires prolonged walking, standing, sitting, bending, squatting, stooping, climbing, regular lifting and carrying to move up to 100 lbs., talking, hearing, reaching, feeling, grasping, and push/pulling.
• Must be able to work in various weather conditions/temperatures.
• Climb stepladders and extension ladders and stairs and work from a raised platform.
• Operate tools properly and safely.
• Regular mental and visual attention much or all the time with manual coordination.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers to assemble, connect, weld, or attach parts. The employee is required to stand, walk, and reach with hands.
