- Requirements:
- Valid and active Speech-Language Pathologist State license
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders.
- Diagnose communication issues through clinical evaluations and diagnostic tests.
- Develop personalized treatment plans aligned with each patient's needs and goals.
- Deliver therapy to enhance articulation, fluency, voice, comprehension, and expression.
- Address swallowing disorders and promote safe swallowing practices.
- Provide guidance on augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices as needed.
- Educate patients and families on strategies and exercises for improved communication and swallowing.
- Continuously assess and document patient progress, adapting treatment plans as needed.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams, including physicians, therapists, and educators, for holistic care.
- Maintain precise and current patient records, including assessments, plans, and progress notes.
- Assist patients in applying improved communication skills in daily life, school, or work.
- Stay updated on the latest developments in speech-language pathology through professional development activities.
