Job Title: Ophthalmic Assistant

At Vision Source, we're seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Ophthalmic Assistant to join our team. As an Ophthalmic Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our eye care center.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct pre-testing procedures, including visual acuity, eye movement, and optical coherence tomography (OCT) scans.
  • Educate patients on the importance of their eye health and provide instructions on proper eye care.
  • Accurately document patient data and test results in our electronic health record (EHR) system.
  • Assist optometrists during examinations and provide support as needed.
  • Help patients select frames and lenses that meet their needs and preferences.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1-3 years of prior optometric technician experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
