Job Title: Virtual Speech Therapist for Schools
About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to provide virtual speech and language services to school-aged children. As a member of our teletherapy team, you will work with a diverse student population, helping them overcome communication challenges and reach their full potential.
Responsibilities:
- Assess and diagnose speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders in students.
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with speech and language impairments.
- Provide direct therapy services to students individually or in small groups to address specific speech and language goals.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support students' communication needs.
- Monitor and document students' progress towards meeting therapy goals and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
- Conduct screenings to identify students who may need speech and language evaluations.
- Provide training and resources to teachers and staff on speech and language development and strategies to support communication in the classroom.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss students' progress and develop comprehensive educational plans.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of assessments, therapy sessions, and progress reports.
- Stay informed about current practices, research, and developments in the field of speech-language pathology.
- Advocate for students' communication needs and ensure they receive appropriate services and accommodations.
- Facilitate communication and language development in students with diverse needs, including those with autism, hearing impairments, and other disabilities.
- Provide support and counseling to students and their families regarding speech and language disorders.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to maintain certification and licensure requirements.
Requirements:
- Master's or Doctorate degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current Indiana Teaching Certification required
- Indiana SLP license required
- Experience providing virtual therapy services is a plus
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Fast/reliable computer & internet connection
Compensation and Benefits:
The estimated annual salary for this position is $83,200 - $104,000 based on an hourly rate of $40-$50 per hour. This is a 1099 position with guaranteed weekly hours.
