Role Summary:

The Hardware Technician will play a crucial role in the assembly, installation, upkeep, and diagnostics of hardware systems utilized in various IT infrastructures and networks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the assembly and configuration of hardware systems, ensuring proper integration of components and adherence to design specifications.
  • Install and terminate cabling for facility interconnections, following detailed design documentation.
  • Support the identification and resolution of hardware component and subsystem issues.
  • Document and provide insights to enhance the configuration management process during system buildout and integration.
  • Help in establishing timelines, delegating tasks, and tracking progress to ensure timely integration and testing.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to specify and select appropriate hardware solutions.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance on equipment while maintaining comprehensive records of all maintenance activities.
  • Assist in property management tasks, including inventory management and audits.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Educational Qualifications:

A minimum of an Associate Degree in a relevant technical discipline.

Experience Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of experience in hardware and systems support.
  • Capability to obtain a TS/TCI clearance.
  • Strong skills in troubleshooting hardware issues.
  • Proficient in terminating various cable types.
  • Experience in building and configuring hardware systems.
  • Excellent organizational abilities for managing documentation and schedules.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a team setting.
  • Physical capability to lift and transport equipment weighing over 30 lbs.
  • Comfortable working in laboratory and industrial settings.
  • Able to stand, kneel, and work in confined spaces.

Preferred Skills:

  • Possession of an active TS/SCI clearance.
  • Familiarity with configuration management processes and documentation change protocols.

Note: Applicants must possess an active Secret security clearance and be U.S. Citizens.
