ONEOK is seeking a highly skilled Pipeline Operations Specialist to join our team in the Natural Gas Pipeline division. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our pipeline systems.
Key Responsibilities- Perform Advanced Level Work: Act as a subject matter expert in gas and/or liquids pipeline system operations.
- Coordinate and Troubleshoot: Diagnose and troubleshoot complex pipeline operations and maintenance activities.
- Operate and Maintain Equipment: Perform startup and shutdown procedures, pigging, collecting liquids, changing charts, gauging tanks, and locating and marking lines.
- Monitor and Maintain Cathodic Protection: Monitor cathodic protection and basic pipe coatings, and perform leakage surveys and patrolling pipelines.
- Communicate with Stakeholders: Exchange information with public/governmental officials, employees, contractors, customers, producers, and landowners.
- Compile and Prepare Reports: Establish calculations, compile and prepare information and reports, and assist others on matters including gas/liquid flow and quality, maintenance and/or repair logs, samples, pipeline/corrosion activities, and construction inspection.
- Experience: 2+ years of experience operating and maintaining pipeline systems and related equipment in natural gas and liquids gathering and transmission systems.
- Skills: Strong communication and problem-solving skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, and experience with Microsoft Excel, Project, Access, and Word.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
Employee is subject to inside and outside environmental conditions, including well-lighted, climate-controlled areas, outdoor weather conditions, wet or humid conditions, extreme cold and heat, dust, fumes, gases, moving mechanical parts, potential electric shock, prolonged exposure to vibration, high-pitched noises/loud noises, unprotected heights, and frequent repetitive motion.
Travel and DrivingTravel to other locations up to 30% within assigned geographic region(s) required. Employee may be assigned a company vehicle requiring the applicable driver's license.
