Key Responsibilities:
- Under the guidance of a supervisor or seasoned machinist, accountable for the production of high-quality components on CNC lathes in a safe and efficient manner.
- Utilize overhead lifting equipment or appropriate material handling tools to load components.
- Employ fixtures to accurately position parts in the machine and make adjustments to ensure quality output.
- Verify that the setup is accurate, then initiate and monitor machine operations to identify any potential malfunctions before starting the machining cycle.
- Make necessary adjustments to machine offsets to ensure parts meet tolerance specifications.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the machine and work area, and perform basic preventive maintenance on machinery.
- Execute additional job-related tasks as assigned.
- Comply with established Work Instructions, Standard Operating Procedures, Quality Management System standards, and Health, Safety, and Environmental policies.
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
- Prior experience in a manufacturing setting is advantageous.
- Experience in the oilfield sector is a plus.
- Basic mathematical skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions).
