Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare patients for examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary consents, supplies, and equipment are in place.
  • Assist physicians during examinations and procedures, providing high-level customer service and maintaining a sterile field.
  • Document patient communications and treatments accurately and appropriately, using electronic medical records and practice management tasks.
  • Perform administrative duties, including answering telephones, responding to clinical voice mail messages, and managing KPI/IPF reports.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to promote efficient and cost-effective care, ensuring patient satisfaction and quality outcomes.
Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited Surgical Technology Program.
  • Current Surgical Technologist certification with no restrictions.
  • Current BLS Certification required; ACLS required if assisting in surgery outside of the clinic.
  • Knowledge of infection control, sterile technique, and basic health and safety precautions applicable for work in a clinic setting.
  • Ability to use and apply medical terminology appropriately.
  • Thorough knowledge of general clinical principles, methodology, and measures for outcomes.
  • Administrative skills necessary to effectively perform clerical tasks.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior ENT and/or Plastics surgical experience; knowledge of instruments and equipment used in specialty.
  • Ability to stand for up to eight hours a day, bend, reach, squat, kneel, move, lift patients and/or equipment up to 50 lbs.
