Meat Cutter Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Meat Cutter Specialist to join our team at Whole Foods Market - Yonkers. This role requires a high level of expertise in cutting, preparing, and displaying meat products.

• This is a full-time position requiring a strong work ethic and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• You will be responsible for cutting, plattering, and merchandising various types of meat products, including beef, pork, lamb, veal, and poultry.
• Additionally, you will prepare specialty meat merchandise, such as sausage and cured meats, and ensure that all products meet WFM quality standards.

1. Cut, platter, and merchandise meat products according to company standards.
2. Prepare specialty meat merchandise, including sausage and cured meats.
3. Check product quality and freshness to ensure compliance with WFM standards.
4. Maintain a clean and sanitary working environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
5. Provide excellent customer service, addressing customer needs in a timely and effective manner.

• High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in culinary arts or related field preferred.
• 14+ months retail experience, preferably in a butcher shop or meat department.
• Successful completion of WFM Butcher Apprentice Program or equivalent training program.
