We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Cath Lab team at Southern Tennessee Regional Health System - Winchester. As a Cath Lab Nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care and work closely with our interdisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care to patients using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.
- Work closely with Cath Lab patients to ensure their comfort and make them aware of what is going to take place.
- Perform plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care treatments.
- Document patient care given.
- Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate to the care team, physician, patient, and family.
- Assist patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
- Collaborate as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral, and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
- Evaluate learning needs of patient and/or family and provide patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
- Work as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Associate's degree is required.
- BSN is preferred.
- Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
- Current and active Registered Nurse Licensure for the State of Tennessee.
