Job Overview

Kennedy Services is seeking an experienced Senior Substance Abuse Supervisor to oversee the Assessment Counselors and administer standard risk assessment and diagnostic testing instruments. This position requires daily supervision, monitoring adherence to policies and procedures, conducting quality assurance reviews, and administering screening and assessment tools.

Responsibilities
  • Daily supervise assessment counselors and monitor their adherence to program policies and procedures.
  • Conduct monthly quality assurance reviews of treatment case files to ensure compliance with program standards.
  • Administer, score, and interpret required screening and assessment tools.
  • Conduct screenings and assessments during the intake process and back-end screenings for standing populations.
  • Interview participants to collect additional data not covered by assessment tools.
  • Scores and interprets results of assessment and testing tools.
  • Prepares written reports based on results of assessment and testing tools.
  • Will screen and assess patients for mental, chemical, and other factors to determine next steps.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a human services field or related field.
  • Two years of experience providing direct substance abuse counseling services to the criminal justice population.
  • One year of supervising counseling staff services to the criminal justice population.
  • Alcohol and Drug Trainee (ADT) status or Certified Supervisor Counselor Alcohol and Drug (CSC-AD) certification.

Compensation
$55,000 - $65,000 per annum, depending on experience.
