Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the procurement process, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Develop and manage long-term relationships with critical suppliers.
  • Manage commodity teams and purchases, mitigating risks and improving performance.
  • Review and analyze purchase requisitions, investigating and developing sources of supply.
  • Negotiate purchases, preparing and soliciting bids, and issuing requests for quotes/information.
  • Prepare purchase orders and communicate technical, quality, legal, and commercial requirements to suppliers.
  • Manage procurement plans and pricing strategies to support cost objectives and ensure delivery schedules meet project and operational needs.
  • Resolve purchasing issues between Oceaneering and vendors.
  • Perform administrative activities in support of the purchasing function.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in business or a technical discipline, plus 5 years of experience, or equivalent education and experience.
  • Knowledge of purchasing practices and procedures, materials, products, and the commodity market in an area of specialization.
  • Professional certificates: CPIM, CSCP, CPSM.
  • Previous experience with supplier management of categories responsible for.
  • Experience with value engineering and cost engineering activities.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous purchasing experience in Machining and Fabrication, Hydraulics, Electrical/Electronics.
  • Knowledge of department's policies, rules, regulations, business goals, vision, organizational structure, culture, philosophy, operating principles, and values.
  • Ability to work in a team environment, remaining attentive to ideas, recognizing responsibilities, and actively participating with others to accomplish assignments and achieve desired goals.
