Job Title: Store Associate

This role is crucial to the success of our retail stores. As a Store Associate, you will work closely with customers to understand their needs, provide expert advice on Sherwin-Williams products, and recommend solutions to meet their requirements. Your primary goal will be to deliver exceptional customer service, ensuring maximum client satisfaction while consistently meeting sales targets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide excellent sales service to customers, ensuring high levels of satisfaction
  • Assist customers in person and over the phone by determining their needs and presenting suitable products and services
  • Build strong relationships with wholesale and retail customers, fostering trust and loyalty
  • Process sales transactions accurately and in accordance with company policies and procedures
  • Meet and exceed sales goals on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis
  • Maintain accurate work order files and formulas
  • Pull products from the sales floor or warehouse as needed
  • Tint and mix products to customer specifications
  • Stock shelves and set up displays
  • Clean store equipment
  • Load and unload delivery trucks
  • Assist with deliveries as needed
  • Maintain in-stock and presentable condition of assigned areas
  • Stay knowledgeable about products offered and discuss available options with customers
  • Comply with inventory control procedures
  • Suggest ways to improve sales
Requirements:
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future
  • Must be able to retrieve materials from shelves and floor stacks and lift and carry up to 50 lbs frequently and up to 70 lbs occasionally
  • Must be willing to work all scheduled hours, which may include evenings and weekends
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Have a valid, unrestricted driver's license
  • Have at least a high school diploma or GED
  • Have at least one year of experience working in a delivery, retail, or customer service position
  • Have previous work experience selling paint and paint-related products
  • Have previous work experience operating tinting and mixing equipment
  • Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in more than one language
  • Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in Spanish
