Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Cytotechnologist to join our team in the Cytopathology Laboratory. As a Cytotechnologist, you will play a critical role in the diagnosis of malignant, pre-malignant lesions, and diseases on the microscopic level from virtually any body site.

Responsibilities
  • Screen and report negative gynecological and non-gynecological cytology cases
  • Identify and refer abnormal cases to pathologists
  • Perform quality control activities
  • Train and evaluate cytotechnology students
  • Perform digital image analysis, FISH techniques, and/or tissue review
  • Serve as a member of the Fine Needle Aspiration (FNA) Team
  • Provide technical advice and coverage to the preparation and processing area
  • Assist cytology specialists and management personnel with quality assurance activities and continuous improvement projects
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Cytotechnology or completion of an accredited Cytotechnology program
  • Cytologist (CT, ASCP) or Specialist in Cytology (SCT, ASCP) certification required
  • Experience using databases, spreadsheets, and word processing software
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize work, manage time wisely, and adjust to changes in work volumes and projects
