Job Overview

The Millington-Memphis Airport is seeking dedicated fueling staff for both full-time and part-time roles, encompassing supervisory and lineman responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional service to pilots and passengers.
  • Ensure a safe and tidy work environment.
  • Guide aircraft in and out of the ramp area.
  • Refuel and service aircraft with oil.
  • Tow aircraft to and from hangars and tie-down locations as needed.
  • Secure all aircraft appropriately.
  • Utilize GPU and lavatory services, including the disposal of lavatory contents.
  • Maintain cleanliness of crew vehicles and ground service equipment (GSE).
  • Service GSE with necessary fuels, oils, and perform general maintenance.
  • In supervisory roles, manage fuel orders, receipts, and testing.
  • Communicate effectively with Customer Service Representatives, management, and maintenance teams using two-way radios.
  • Perform additional tasks as directed by management.

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years old with a High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Combination of education, training, and experience that provides the necessary knowledge and skills for this role.
  • Prior experience in aircraft fueling is essential.
  • For supervisory roles, previous management or lead experience in the aviation sector is preferred.
  • Experience with general maintenance tasks is beneficial.
  • Must possess a valid US driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Successful completion of pre-employment drug screening and testing is required.
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English is necessary; Spanish language skills are a plus but not mandatory.
  • Ability to lift 70 lbs repeatedly.
  • Willingness to work in various weather conditions.
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Capability to identify and report safety hazards and deficiencies in products or materials.
  • Proactive in suggesting improvements related to safety and security practices.
  • Quick learner with the ability to follow oral and written instructions and seek clarification when needed.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
  • Work environment is non-smoking.
