Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Vocational Evaluator to join our team at The Fedcap Group. As a Vocational Evaluator, you will conduct in-person and online assessments to help participants define their career goals, increase their employability, and obtain employment. You will also assist participants with making informed decisions about further job training and education, including exploring financial considerations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a caseload of participants and meet requirements for regular contact.
  • Orient participants to their contractual responsibilities with their referral source.
  • Develop Career Plans with participants outlining goals and clear action steps for increased employability and addressing obstacles.
  • Identify needed support services and refer participants to our help center as required.
  • Help participants and their families address challenges by connecting them to needed support services.
  • Recommend and advise participants on internal and external opportunities for further job training and education.
  • Select and administer assessments for referred participants.
  • Evaluate credentials and assess their alignment with US/local employment and educational requirements.
  • Write reports detailing assessment results and recommendations.
  • Make referrals and connect participants to job training and educational providers.
  • Assist participants with preparing applications for job training and educational opportunities.
  • Identify support services needed for participants to engage in training or educational activities.
  • Maintain participant records in FedcapCARES.
  • Meet with participants, staff members, and external stakeholders to discuss assessment results and recommendations.
  • Escalate participant and stakeholder complaints and feedback.
  • Conduct career and life skill workshops on education and job training topics.
  • Conduct professional development trainings for staff on assessment topics and labor market information.
  • Promote Fedcap Inc. positively and uphold all agency policies and expectations.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Adult Education, vocational rehabilitation, life skills coaching, human services, or related field.
  • Two years of case management, vocational assessment, or adult career advising experience.
  • Experience working with public assistance recipients, homeless, formally incarcerated, individuals with disabilities, and/or those affected by poverty.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Computer literate, including Microsoft Office and the ability to enter data into a specialized database.
  • Strong communication skills (both verbal and written).
  • Highly organized and detailed oriented.
  • Ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds and maintain confidentiality.
  • Able to take direction from multiple supervisors and work independently.
