Job OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. As an Operating Room Nurse, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and accurate delivery of care to our patients.
Estimated Salary: $85,000 - $110,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.
About the RoleAs an Operating Room Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for performing patient assessments, developing a plan of care, and implementing and evaluating care. You will work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary care team to ensure seamless care delivery.
- Perform age-appropriate assessments of patients upon arrival to the surgical suite.
- Assist with anesthesia induction and preparation of patients for local anesthesia.
- Create and maintain a sterile and safe surgical environment.
- Perform correct surgical preps.
- Accurately document and report patient care.
- Demonstrate competency in all surgical specialties and equipment.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- 1 year of experience as an Operating Room Registered Nurse.
- Associate's degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited nursing program.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Current State of Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license or Compact Registered Nursing License.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification per SDH policy.
