Responsibilities:- Assess and plan individualized care for pediatric patients
- Implement and evaluate nursing interventions to promote optimal patient outcomes
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care
- Provide education and support to patients and families
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care
- Licensed by the State of Tennessee
- Earned a nursing diploma or degree from a college or university
- One year of pediatric ED or in-hospital experience preferred
- BLS within 90 days of hire
- PALS within six months of hire
- Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) initial certification within one year of employment
The Pediatric Inpatient Nurse will work in a medical/surgical unit with a patient population ranging from less than one year of age to 21 years of age. The nurse will be required to work well under pressure, function independently, and be flexible in applying basic nursing knowledge to a variety of settings.
