About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at Children's National Hospital. As an Inpatient Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality, patient-centered care to our pediatric patients and their families.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the care of our patients, as well as collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to ensure seamless care transitions. You will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of patients and families, and will be expected to demonstrate a commitment to excellence in patient care, safety, and satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to assigned patients, including administering medications, performing procedures, and documenting patient information.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans that meet the unique needs of each patient.
• Participate in patient and family education, and provide support and guidance to help patients and families navigate the healthcare system.
• Demonstrate a commitment to quality and safety, and participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
• Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes.

Requirements

• Current RN license from the District of Columbia (Required Upon Hire)
• BSN degree from an accredited nursing program (Preferred)
• At least one year of pediatric experience (Preferred)
• Basic computer skills and proficiency in electronic medical records (Required)
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities (Required)
