Ambulatory Care Nurse

NYU Grossman School of Medicine is seeking a highly skilled Ambulatory Care Nurse to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and support to our patients and families.
Job Summary:We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Ambulatory Care Nurse to provide comprehensive care to our patients. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing physical examinations, and collecting patient health history.
- Record information in electronic health records and provide information, counsel, and education to patients and families regarding test results and treatment plans.
- Administer medications, provide comprehensive wound care, and perform phone and in-person patient triage for clinical concerns.
- Assess and monitor patient responses to various treatments, procedures, and anesthesia.
- Consult with clinical supervisors and licensed providers to determine best treatment plans for patients.
- Direct, supervise, and delegate to licensed practical nurses, medical assistants, and technicians as needed to support patient flow and efficiency.
- A Baccalaureate degree in Nursing is highly preferred; a Diploma or Associates Degree in Nursing requires a minimum of one year experience in conjunction with plans to earn a baccalaureate degree.
- Current Registered Professional Nurse in New York licensure is required.
- BCL is also required.
- Emergency room or critical care nursing experience and membership in pertinent professional organizations preferred.
- ACLS certification.
