The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Software Developer to join our team. As a full stack developer, you will have the opportunity to work with large-scale systems, utilizing cutting-edge technologies and tools to automate workflows and processes.

In this role, you will support our Product team by conducting problem analysis, designing and developing effective solutions, planning and executing solution implementation, and providing training, logistical, and infrastructural assistance.

You will be responsible for standardizing processes and measuring outcomes. You will lead the team in identifying systematic ways to streamline processes and enhance efficiencies.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable and reliable automations and front-end applications using technologies such as JavaScript, PHP, HTML5, CSS3, React, REST, PowerShell, etc.
  2. Maintain Linux/Unix server environment to ensure optimal performance, security, and reliability. This includes monitoring system performance, troubleshooting issues, applying security patches, and ensuring data backups.
  3. Interface closely with the business and technical staff on the team during all phases of the project, including unit and system testing, integration and UAT testing culminating with implementation checkout and post-implementation support.
  4. Perform data quality checks and validations, and handle data anomalies and issues.
  5. Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve complex software application-related problems.
  6. Extract, transform, and load data from various sources and formats, such as relational databases, APIs, JSON, XML, CSV, etc.
  7. Manage job and project requirements so that projects are completed on time, in scope, within budget, with minimal defects.
  8. Accountable for all aspects of testing (e.g., testing plan, scenarios, documentation, defect management) to ensure minimal production and UAT defects are realized.
  9. Translate business requirements to software specification and requirements.
  10. Provide industry knowledge, experience, and best practices to help the team stay ahead of the curve in keeping our technology stack cutting-edge.
What We Look For in a Candidate

Required Qualifications:

Experience in developing and working with software technologies, such as JavaScript, PHP, HTML, CSS, GitHub, Git Bash, Oracle SQL Developer, Visual Studio Code, etc.

Server and Database administration which includes Linux, Unix, Redis, Oracle, and SQL.

Experience utilizing JIRA for feature creation, dashboard management, etc...

Experience solving business problems that involve systems and process changes.

Experience sourcing, analyzing, and using data to solve problems.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.

Eager to learn new skills and technologies, and willing to take on challenges.

Experience working in an Agile development environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

8+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on JavaScript, PHP, Python, HTML, CSS, and PowerShell.

Strong conceptual thinker with ability to generate new ideas.

Ability to act independently, take initiative, and drive tasks and issues to resolution.

Prior experience in a leadership or mentorship role.
